If you have a solid foundation knowledge of pottery and have completed the beginners 2 course, this short course is the next step if you are looking to work more independently

Course information

During this 10 week course you will learn how to-

  • roll coils of clay
  • construct from coils (coil building)
  • smooth and finish surfaces on coil-built forms
  • understand drying stages of clay
  • work soft and leather hard clay
  • use slips and glazes to decorate
  • understand the differences between underglazes, slips and glazes

Entry requirements

  • This is an ideal progression course from the Beginners 2 course
  • You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course

2.5 hours a week for 10 weeks
