If you have a basic knowledge of pottery and have completed the beginners 1 course, this short course is the next step to expand on and refine the hand-building and decorating techniques you’ve already learned.
Course information
During this 10 week course you will learn how to -
- work with leather hard clay
- slab building with leather hard clay
- use templates to create 3D structures
- work with slips to decorate surfaces
- use stencils with slips
- create incised decoration with slips (Sgraffito)
- design and plan your own project
- understand the drying and firing stages of clay
Entry requirements
- This is an ideal progression course from the Pottery / Ceramics - Beginners 1 course
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
Course duration
2.5 hours a week for 11 weeks (Including induction)

- Wednesday 10 September 2025, 6pm to 8.30pm
