If you are new to pottery, or have very basic knowledge, this short course is an introduction for you
You'll learn the essentials of working with clay, including how to shape, cut, and understand its various stages. We’ll cover techniques like scoring and slipping, as well as the basics of painting with underglazes and glazing. You'll also get familiar with pottery terminology and the firing process.

During this course you will learn how to -
- slab roll clay
- cut and joining clay
- build slab structures using soft slabs
- use templates to create 3D structures
- use formers to create forms with soft clay
- apply underglaze colour
- use glazes
- health and safety when working with clay and glazes
- understand the drying stages of clay

You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
