New Level 3 Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship offers a progression route for experienced learners
Hull Training and Adult Education has announced the launch of a new Level 3 Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship, providing a progression route for learners who have already completed a Level 2 qualification or gained experience within the industry.
The programme has been developed to help apprentices refine their techniques, expand their knowledge, and achieve a recognised qualification that supports career advancement in the construction and decorating sector.
Learners will receive comprehensive training in advanced painting methods, complex paperhanging, decorative wall coverings, HVLP and airless paint spraying, as well as essential skills in safety, cost calculation, and time management.
Applicants must be aged 16 or over and currently employed in a relevant trade role. Entry requirements include a Level 2 qualification in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent experience), along with GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
The apprenticeship will start on 24 November 2025 and runs for 18 months, followed by an End Point Assessment, with an accelerated route also available. Training will take place at The Construction Centre, Nursery Grove, Poretobello Street, Hull HU9 5XT.
