With the support of an experienced ceramics tutor, you will develop an understanding of posture, hand positioning, control, and rhythm on the wheel.

There is a strong emphasis on learning through repetition, helping you to build muscle memory and confidence while understanding that trial and error is a natural part of the throwing process.

By the end of the seven weeks you will have -

  • A clear understanding of essential wheel-throwing techniques
  • Improved hand-eye co-ordination and clay control
  • Experience creating a small range of simple cylinders
  • Introductory knowledge of glazing
