This Entry Level 3 course blends wheel throwing and hand-building to develop technical ability, creative decision-making, and personal expression.
It is designed for learners who have completed Entry Level 2 Creative Crafts or equivalent and are ready to build confidence and independence in clay work.
Course information
You will cover the following topics -
- studio Health & Safety refresher and clay preparation
- coil and multi-part joining to create complex forms
- improving throwing
- developing thrown pieces: cyclinders, bowls, shaping and trimming
- surface decoration: slips, underglazes, carving, and textures
- glazing and preparing work for firing
- group review
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- This course is not for complete beginners
