This qualification has been developed to enable you to improve your knowledge and understanding of dyslexia, its characteristics, diagnosis and how dyslexia impacts on learning. You will identify a range of strategies for supporting people with dyslexia.
Course information
During this course you will learn -
- what is meant by ‘dyslexia’
- how dyslexia is diagnosed
- how dyslexia can affect individuals
- ways to support the learning of individuals with dyslexia
- sources of information for individuals with dyslexia and those supporting them
You will gain the Gateway Level 2 Award in Dyslexia Awareness qualification.
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- GCSE Grade (D/3) and above in maths and English (or equivalent)
- You will need access to a computer to complete your assignments online
