Do you have at least 5 years of experience working as a joiner but do not have any industry related qualifications or have you completed the Level 2 NVQ.
Then this is the course for you!
During this course you will be required to provide a portfolio with the support of your assessor, and be assessed on your practical skills onsite.
This qualification is accepted for CSCS Gold Cards upon achievement.
Course information
with support from your tutor you will build a portfolio which must include evidence of you -
- confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
- confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
- conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
- installing bespoke first fixing components in the workplace
- installing bespoke second fixing components in the workplace
- setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace
Plus evidence of 2 from the below list -
- erecting Roof Structure Carcassing Components in the Workplace
- erecting structural carcassing components in the workplace
- maintaining non-structural and structural components in the workplace
Entry requirements
- You must have at least 5 years of joinery experience or completed the Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry and Joinery
- You must be employed in a joinery role
Course duration
Up to 18 months (to be discussed upon enrolment)
