Do you have some experience working as a joiner but do not have any industry related qualifications?
Then this is the course for you!
During this course you will be required to provide a portfolio with the support of your assessor, and be assessed on your practical skills onsite.
This qualification is accepted for CSCS Blue Cards upon achievement.
Course information
With support from your tutor you will build a portfolio which must include evidence of you -
- conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Plus evidence of 2 from the below list -
- erecting structural carcassing components in the workplace
- installing Fire Resisting Timber Door Assemblies and Doorsets in the Workplace
- installing first fixing components in the workplace
- installing second fixing components in the workplace
- maintaining non-structural carpentry work in the workplace
- setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace
Entry requirements
- You must have some joinery experience
- You must be employed in a joinery role
Course duration
Up to 12 months (to be discussed upon enrolment)
