What are Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are flexible training courses lasting up to 16 weeks, developed with local training providers to respond to local and national skills needs. They are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping individuals build sector-specific skills and supporting employers to recruit and retain talent.

Ways to Get Involved

Recruit new talent

Gain access to trained candidates ready for work. You can interview and hire individuals who have completed Skills Bootcamps aligned with your needs.

Upskill your existing staff

Enhance your current team’s skills by enrolling them on relevant Skills Bootcamps. For SMEs, training is up to 90% funded. For larger employers, up to 70% funded.

Deliver your own Skills Bootcamps

If you have the capacity and expertise, you can become a delivery partner and run your own Skills Bootcamps. Work with us to co-design and deliver training that’s directly aligned with your recruitment needs. We’ll support you through the process, from securing funding to safeguarding guidance and marketing assistance.

Funding and costs

Employers pay a small contribution for upskilling existing staff -

  • Large employers (250+ staff): 30% contribution of course fees
  • SMEs: 10% contribution of course fees
