This qualification aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of the adult social care sector, and prepare you for progression to the Level 2 Adult Care qualifications, apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities or entry level roles within the adult social care sector.

During this 13-week course you will cover the following -

- Introduction to the Values and Principles of Adult Social Care
- Awareness of the Skills and Attitudes Needed to Work in Adult Social Care
- Awareness of Communication in Adult Social Care
- Awareness of the Role and Responsibilities of the Adult Social Care Worker
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Safeguarding and Duty of Care
- Health and Safety in Adult Social Care Settings
- Professional Behaviours and Employability Skills
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- Entry Level 3 English or above
- Attend an Initial Assessment
- An interest in working with and supporting others is essential
