Course information
This nine week course offers an introduction and overview of textiles as a subject and art medium, exploring a theme through a variety of materials.
Each week will be focused on a different material or technique and documented in your course sketchbook.
Topics covered will be -
- researching visual inspiration
- wet felting and needle felting
- drop spindle spinning
- weaving
- embroidery
- fabric manipulation
- repeat patterns
- print making techniques: mono print, rubber stamp making, and foam lino cut
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- No prior experience needed

2.5 hours per week over 9 weeks (including induction)
