Get ready to be creative and have some fun with porcelain!
On this lively, hands-on course you will learn how to create, decorate, and assemble your own porcelain jewellery, including eye-catching pendants, stylish drop earrings and cute stud earrings.
You will work with porcelain clay on a small scale, experimenting with shape, texture and surface decoration.
Expect plenty of opportunity to play, try new techniques and let your creativity shine, all while producing beautiful, wearable pieces you will be excited to show off or give as gifts.
Course information
During this course you will cover the following topics -
- Week 1 - Introduction, using porcelain, pressing texture and cutting shapes
- Week 2 - Refining dry porcelain and making plain shapes
- Week 3 - Preparing surfaces and learning silk screen and transfer techniques
- Week 4 - Decorating your jewellery pieces
- Week 5 - Glazing your work
- Week 6 - Applying lustre
- Week 7 - Assembling earrings and pendants, and reviewing your work
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- No prior experience needed
