Get ready to be creative and have some fun with porcelain!
During this course you will learn how to create, decorate, and assemble porcelain jewellery, including pendants, drop earrings and stud earrings.
You will work with porcelain clay on a small scale, developing refined making skills and learning a range of decorative techniques.
Course information
During the course you will cover the following topics -
- Week 1 - Introduction, using porcelain, pressing texture, and cutting shapes
- Week 2 - Refining dry porcelain and making plain shapes
- Week 3 - Preparing surfaces and learning silk screen and transfer techniques
- Week 4 - Decorating your jewellery pieces
- Week 5 - Glazing your work
- Week 6 - Applying lustre
- Week 7 - Assembling earrings and pendants, and reviewing your work
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- No prior experience needed
- Must not have already completed an Entry Level 2 Creative Crafts course or higher
