Course Aims
Become confident in calculating, using the four rules of number – add, take away, times and share
Entry Requirements
You will be required to complete a short initial assessment.
Please note: If you already have a Level 2 qualification in maths (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE Maths at A-C or 4-9) you will not be eligible for this course.

Course Content
Interactive sessions that are informal and enjoyable to help you learn, practice and perfect your skills so that you are able to calculate without a calculator.
Get confident and overcome your fears!
Assessment Method
You will set your own aims in the course that are linked to what you find challenging. We will work together to record what you have learnt in the course.
Building confidence, being willing to try out maths questions and not being afraid to ask questions would be good results of coming to the course.
Where can it lead?
We want you to feel better about maths and increase the underpinning skills that will help you move on to other maths courses.
We offer longer courses that are informal for you to continue building skills and confidence.
You can move onto a qualification course, if you feel ready and following assessment of your growing skills in using numbers.
