Painting and Decorating - NVQ Level 2

Do you have some experience working as a painter but do not have any industry related qualifications?

Then this is the course for you!

During this course you will be required to provide a portfolio with the support of your assessor, and be assessed on your practical skills onsite.

This qualification is accepted for CSCS Blue Cards upon achievement.

Course information

With support from your tutor you will build a portfolio which must include evidence of you -

• conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
• moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
• applying surface coatings by brush and roller in the workplace
• erecting and dismantling access/working platforms in the workplace
• preparing surfaces for painting anf decorating in the workplace

You will then choose the most appropriate pathway -

• industrial painter
• painter
• heritage painter
