Carpentry and Joinery (Wood Occupations - Site Carpentry) - NVQ Level 2 Experienced worker

Do you have at least 5 years experience working as a joiner but do not have any industry related qualifications?

Then this is the course for you!

Unlike a traditional NVQ you can complete this within as little as 3 months with only one assessment within the training centre.

This qualification is accepted for CSCS Blue Cards upon achievement.

Course information

With support from your tutor you will build a portfolio which must include evidence of you -

• conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
• moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace

Supported by 3 optional units from the list below -

• installing first fixing components in the workplace
• installing second fixing components in the workplace
• erecting structural carcassing components in the workplace
• maintaining non-structural carpentry work in the workplace
• setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace
• installing fire resisting timber door assemblies and doorsets in the workplace
