A Painting and Decorating tutor at our Construction Centre won £1,000 worth of professional decorating equipment and has shared part of the prize with learners.
Earlier this month, Painting and Decorating Tutor Matthew Bibby welcomed award-winning painter, decorator and content creator Kevin Brown, known online as The Prestige Painter, who visited to present the prize.
Matthew won the competition after entering while attending The National Painting and Decorating Show at the NEC Birmingham with learners earlier this year.
The prize included products from across the Ciret range, including:
- ROTA! paint rollers and accessories
- Kana paint brushes and accessories
- masq masking products
- prep preparation products
- Beeline wallpaper adhesives and fillers
Matthew chose to donate part of the prize to learners at the Construction Centre on Nursery Grove in Hull. The donation has provided learners with even more equipment to use during their training.
The equipment will support practical training and give learners access to industry-standard tools while developing their skills.
Matthew said:
"It was a great surprise to hear that I had won. The products will be really useful for our painting and decorating provision, and I am pleased to be able to share some of them with our learners. Having access to quality tools helps learners build confidence and develop the skills they need for the trade."
We congratulate Matthew on his success and thank him for sharing the prize with learners. We also thank Kevin Brown, Ciret and everyone involved in making the presentation possible.
For learners preparing for a career in the construction industry, opportunities like this provide valuable experience with the tools and products used across the trade.
