Learners at the Hull Training and Adult Education Construction Centre on Nursery Grove have been transforming their training booths with a series of festive-inspired designs.
Working within the specialist painting and decorating bays, learners produced detailed murals, winter scenes and imaginative decorative displays that allowed them to apply key techniques such as edging, colour application, design planning and finishing. The project provided an opportunity for learners to demonstrate their creativity while developing confidence in a real working environment.
Staff at the Construction Centre highlighted the high standard of work produced, praising the learners’ commitment, attention to detail and growing technical ability. The festive displays reflect the enthusiasm learners bring to their training and the quality of the programme delivered at the Nursery Grove site.
HTAE offers a range of pathways for those interested in starting a career in Painting & Decorating or other construction trades, including Apprenticeships and full‑time courses for 16 to 18‑year‑olds.
