Do you have staff with at least 5 years of experience working as a signmaker but do not hold any industry-related qualifications or have completed the NVQ Level 2?
In a world of increasing skills shortages, particularly in this industry, upskilling staff members is an excellent way to close the skills gap and enable your staff to then be able to train the next generation coming into the trade.
This qualification is recognised throughout the sector and will equip your employee with the essential skills, knowledge and qualifications required and also enable them to apply for a CSCS gold card upon achievement.
Course information
With support from our experienced tutors, the learner will build a portfolio which must include evidence of them -
- monitoring and maintaining health, safety and welfare in a signmaking environment
- creating, developing and maintaining effective working relationships in a signmaking environment
- receiving, interpreting and confirming instructions in a signmaking environment
They would also be required to provide evidence from an approved list which the tutor will discuss with the learner at the start of your course.

Fees apply to the 2025/2026 academic year, which runs from September 2025 to August 2026
