Course Aims

Stand out from the crowd with our Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2 course.

If you’re interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant and want to set yourself apart from the competition, our Introduction to Teaching in Schools (NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) programme is just the ticket. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the field and pursue a fulfilling career in education with this comprehensive programme.

You will study child development – including patterns of behaviour, influences and interventions which will enable you to provide the best possible support.

A module dedicated to safeguarding will teach you about key legislation and policy, enabling you to act responsibly and with the children’s best interests at heart.

You will also learn about how schools and colleges operate, health and safety, and how to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Upon completing this course, you will be ready to embark on new challenges, providing a source of support for both your class teacher and the children.

To be awarded the Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2, you are required to successfully achieve 6 mandatory units.

This course allows you to progress on to the Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2 which most schools require to work in this sector.
