Course information

During this course you will learn a full range of skills that an employability practitioner needs including -

  • how to use a wide range of holistic assessments and diagnostics
  • how to develop and use SMART, holistic and in-depth work-focused action plans
  • how to deliver a wide range of interventions
  • how to deal with complaints
  • A wide range of coaching and mentoring techniques for use with service users and colleagues
  • how to manage caseloads effectively
  • how to communicate to a high standard, both verbally and written
  • how to anticipate and de-escalate challenging behaviour in service users
  • how to network with internal and external customers
  • develop your ICT and digital skills

and many more

The employability practitioner apprenticeship standard contains a list of skills, knowledge and behaviours you will need to have learnt by the end of your apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

  • You need to be aged 16 years and over
  • GCSE Grade (C/4) and above in maths and English (or equivalent). If you do not have these grades then call or email to discuss
  • You need to be employed to start this course. If you are not employed then we can help look for an employer
