Course information
During this course you will learn to -
- install apps and anti-virus software safely
- consider your online identity and learn to search safely and buy goods online.
- use cloud storage effectively and understand how to organise files and photos - 20% of the course
- use word processing - use different layouts and borders, enhance images and add tables along with using editing and formatting tools - 20% of the course
- use spreadsheets - organise your financial data, creating a basic budget and use tools to format information, create calculations, track expenses and add charts - 20% of the course
- create mini presentations adding slides, pictures and links to use for presentations at work, fundraising in your community or memories of a holiday - 20% of the course
Entry requirements
- You must be 19 or over to enrol on this course
- The Essential Digital Skills course at Level 1 is a qualification designed for adults to improve your skills to intermediate level and increase confidence using more tools and software or for those who have completed the Essential Digital Skills - Entry 1 course.
- You will complete an initial assessment before you begin the course to ensure you are studying at the right level
Course duration
- 2.5 hours a week over 18 weeks
- 5 hours a week over 9 weeks (Fast Track)
